Hitting the "Refresh" Button 

This Charlotte beauty just needed a little love and a fresh start. Okay, a lot of love. At Hopedale, we always enjoy a good refresh, a fun challenge, and classic architecture—this home hits all three! We partnered with the very talented team at Houghland Architecture to create a whole home renovation and office addition that transformed this Myers Park home. 

From end to end, the entire home is drenched in sunlight and this remodel takes advantage of every drop. For example, in the spacious and bright kitchen, shades of white are used on every surface. Textures are used to break up the field of white, like the wavy subway tile backsplash and the veining on the countertops. Simplicity and sophistication are carried into the living room with built-in cabinets and fireplace surround. 

Each bathroom also received a needed update, both aesthetically and functionally. Neutral but fun wallpaper, new tile, updated fixtures, and other features gave each space a fresh feel. 

It might not be as fun as a music studio or a custom bar, but the homeowners' need for a serene and light-filled space to work in the home spurred the addition that's wrapped in single-hung windows for tons of natural light and a panoramic view of the outdoors.
