Inside, the main level features stained concrete flooring that brings durability and a clean modern contrast to the traditional exterior architecture. Upstairs, hardwood flooring warms the flex space designed to function as both a home office and workout room. Custom Alder cabinetry anchors the kitchenette, paired with a built-in Murphy bed that allows the cottage to transition effortlessly into a comfortable guest suite when needed.

Western Window System Awning Pass-Through 

One of the standout features is the Western Window System awning pass-through window connecting the kitchenette to the outdoor entertaining area. Open, the oversized window creates an easy connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces while drawing natural airflow through the interior. In Charlotte’s shoulder seasons, it’s the kind of feature that makes you wonder why every house doesn’t have one.

Covered Porch and Noble Bluestone Countertops

The covered porch was designed to function as an extension of the living space rather than a separate outdoor area. A tongue-and-groove v-groove ceiling adds warmth overhead, while Infratech ceiling heaters make the porch comfortable during cooler months. Pennsylvania bluestone flooring grounds the space with timeless texture and durability, and the custom outdoor grill station features substantial 2-inch thick Noble Bluestone countertops built to handle everything from casual family dinners to neighborhood gatherings.
